Turning an Unused Area into a Classic Style Pool Room

Since your home is typically your hideout from all the stress you have to face each day, it does not only need to be comfortable and relaxing, but it should also have the fun factor. So, if you love playing billiards, then you should set up a pool area. What's more, you can give it a classic 1950s look to make it unique.

The first thing you have to do is to look for an unused room. Preferably, it should be a lot larger than the billiard table. You would not want your cue stick to keep hitting the walls while playing, right? Besides that, the place should also have extra space for other equipment that you might be adding later on.

Once the room is ready, start decorating. For a vintage appeal, paint the wall with a mixture of wooden colours. For the flooring, be sure to place carpets so that it won't get damaged when a billiard ball falls on it.

The last thing you have to do is to install all the equipment. Besides the pool table, cue rack, and ball storage, you also have to put up other fixtures. To complement the whole 50s appeal to the room, consider setting up a jukebox to play your favourite songs from decades ago.
